Isoclad are pleased to have worked with Nicholls Industrial Buildings in the supply of ceilings panels to enable them to develop their ceiling protection walkways. Composite ceiling panels are used extensively in several industry sectors, including the food industry, overtime repeated foot traffic in tight access areas will degrade all types of ceiling panels, regardless of who the manufacturer was. Ricky has responded to this industry wide issue with a suitable retrofit product to protect critical areas. Where repeated foot traffic is required then independently supported walkways designed by Nicholls Industrial Buildings should be installed. These independent walkways can form part of a ceiling/void management system, and would be used to spread the load of the foot traffic and prolong the life expectancy of the ceiling panel. The walk way system is not designed to strengthen the panels, the walkway does not detract the strength capability of the panels, users are able to continue with panel suppliers data without having to take into account the extra loading for the walk system
